Dear Parents and Families,
First Graders are doing a tremendous job of learning our classroom routines and expected behaviors. We are presently working with numbers 1-120 in Math! Be sure to ask your child, "What goes with 7 to make 20? What goes with 17 to make 20?" These are "Partners to 20" Concepts that First Graders will be learning throughout Unit 6 to best learn Common Core Standards. The last unit of the year will be discovering shapes and geometry.

Literacy Development has also been outstanding! Students are working to meet and surpass expected end-of-year reading levels and comprehension every day. Our groups are working individually as well as in small groups. Students are sharing their learning and really demonstrating themselves as student learners! :-)

Great Work First Graders! You are doing a great job EVERY day!!

Always feel free to stop in and visit. I would love to chat with you about your child's learning and wonderful progress being made daily!

Have a wonderful day!

Enjoy Learning!
:-) Crystal Johnson

First Graders are doing a tremendous job of learning our classroom routines and expected behaviors.  Students have established our Class Promises and Hopes and Dreams.  Hopes and Dreams ranged from hoping to learn a new challenge during recess to counting strategies in Math.  Great Work First Graders!  This is going to be an excellent school year for every one of you!
